The drawings, usually done on the left or right cheek, can also be on the forehead, chin, nose, and eyes area. Face painters are usually body painters, who also work in clubs and restobars during days without bookings for birthday parties. They also go to street sides during Sinulog and other festive events to draw different designs to people’s body and face depending on the customer’s preference.

Sometimes, when they have glitters on hand, they use it to make the painting more appealing. Kids usually request for Flower designs but face-painters can also draw animals, cartoon characters, and many others.

Face painting is a 2-hour service or 30 persons (whichever comes first). The face-painter usually arrives at the venue about 30 to 45 minutes prior to the party to start his job so some of the kids will have a painted face at the start of the party. If the kids are less than 30, the adults can also get the face painted by the professional painter.
